My Story

Hello! My name is Anna E. Newlin, and I'm a hair and wig stylist based on the East Coast and raised in rural Pennsylvania. I've loved hair since elementary school when I would replicate the YouTube stylings on my dolls. That followed me to high school theatre, where instead of dolls I practiced styling on my friends and my first wigs. My exposure to the arts growing up was limited, but once I saw the possibilities beyond the limits of my hometown I realized how precise and immense the craft of wigs could be. After completing cosmetology school and obtaining my license, I took the leap to pursue a BFA in Wig and Makeup Design. This decision only broadened my passion for the beauty industry, challenging me to take new artistic approaches to my work. The style of art I enjoy the most typically conveys the essence of realism with a touch of whimsy, toeing the line of what is and is not. But at the core of it all, my passion is to help people feel beautiful, whether that's by giving a haircut or a wig that makes people feel their best.
